Kids' Imagination Station: Session 1

Using creativity, improv exercises and games, your child will learn the art of storytelling.

3 Day Workshop:

Friday, June 18th 5:30-8:30pm

Saturday, June 19th 1:30-4:30pm

Sunday, June 20th 1:30-4:30pm

The workshop will focus on:

• Teaching the structure of a narrative (how to give a story a beginning, middle and end).
• Stories that create a conflict and a resolution.
• Passing the torch and sharing space (how to be a good collaborative creator).
• Use of resources (sound, rhythm, repetition, etc)
• Working as an ensemble.
• Games to increase confidence and creativity.

We will finish on Sunday with a showcase for families to see what wonderful stories your kids have created!

Session 2: Characters

Your child will learn to create characters through creative thinking, improv, movement, dance, voice, relationships and games!

Session 3: Im"prop"isation

Your child will discover how props influence a character and how they can be used in multiple ways to tell a story. with a focus on imaginaton and even building your own props!

About Your Coach:

Callie Timme (M.F.A., B.A.) is an actor and teaching artist with the Alliance Theatre. Some of her favorite credits include: Jules in the web series "Scenic Shakespeare" with Innerversity Productions, Elaine in "The Graduate" with Dirt Dogs Theatre Company, Mrs. Beaver in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" with the A.D. Players Theatre, and Mariana in "Measure for Measure" with Savannah Shakespeare Company.

​As a coach, Callie’s goal is to provide space for young actors to feel empowered by their authentic selves. A career in the arts has taught Callie to work hard, do her best, and most importantly, have fun!
